Bridge To College

TIMELINE 2011/2012

FIRST SEMESTER 2011
August: take ACCUPLACER test to find out the level of courses for which you are eligible.
September - December: Review of college-level reading, writing and math; study skills; time management skills; basic computer (14 weeks, 3 hours per week + homework). Taught by TFL tutors. FREE
December: ACCUPLACER post-semester assessment

SECOND SEMESTER 2012
February - May: ENG 101 for 3 credits OR College-level math for 4 credits (14 weeks, 3 or 4 hours per week + homework). Taught by HCC faculty at TFL.
NOTE: ACCUPLACER results determine which course is offered.

$300 for ENG 101 (3 credits); $350 for Math (4 credits),
(in addition to $50 registration fee for each course)

Scrabble Night Highlights

Once again Pam Lewis outdid herself. "Scrabble Night" was a huge success. The house was packed with winners. Everyone received a gift and the food was scrumptious. Can't wait for the next one Pam!!! Click here for a photo gallery where enlargements can be seen.

It costs $750 to provide instruction for one student for one year at TFL:
GED, ESL, Math, Reading and Writing
