I began my career working for Pratt and Whitney in the nuclear accountability program. I worked on the first American rocket program as a chemical test foreman. Then I worked on the USS Long Beach as a chemical engineer from 1961 - 1962. After that, I entered the field of education and worked as a physics teacher at Classical High School for 20 years, then I spent 8 years at Central High School, then taught math in East Longmeadow for 4 years. I had always wanted to work with people and I liked education's social aspects. I'd only been in education for two weeks when I realized I was the happiest guy in the world. I'd found my niche. I got a degree in education at Elms college as well as CAGS in Advance Placement Physics. I taught college prep for 13 years - my kids all did well. I joined Top Floor Learning in 2005. There were many challenges and I learned a lot, especially how to adapt my techniques for teaching to help people understand. I get a lot of gratification from doing this.
