"I read an article in the newspaper featuring Top Floor Learning and it sounded like a very well-run program. Tutoring was something I thought I would do someday so I decided to do the training and give it a try. I had never taught before - I worked in medical research and in my husband's business - so teaching was all new to me. I enjoy the one-to-one situation and it is a good feeling to see a light going on in someone's head and know that I have helped her learn something new. TFL is very well-run and professional - everyone is enthusiastic and always ready to help .Learning how to write a lesson plan and be prepared every week can be a challenge, although a welcome one. The tutor training and feedback from the staff and other tutors makes it easier. I'm definitely learning on the job!"
