Jeffrey Brodeur came to Top Floor Learning looking for help to pass the ASVAB test as he wants to join Air Force National Guard. He registered in our Specialized Licensure Preparation program and is now working with one of our volunteer math tutors.

"Right now I'm studying with Mickey. He doesn't want to see me struggling, so he finds the easiest way possible for me to learn. He wants me to accomplish my goals. I plan to join the Air Force National Guard but first I have to pass the ASVAB (Arms Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) - there are 13 tests, math, mechanical electrical, reading, writing, comprehension, etc. I want to pass this test, join up and then continue my schooling. I want to get a bachelor's degree in business or maybe hospitality and tourism. Right now I'm going back to Quinsigamond Community College to finish my associate's degree. I came into the library because I heard you do HCC courses here in Palmer. I had no idea you were here. I never even knew there was a third floor until I started exploring the library. I'm glad I found you. I'm glad Top Floor Learning opened here - it allows people to start over. Gives people an opportunity to do it in their own town. Saves traveling expenses too."
