"I joined Top Floor Learning because I was interested in meeting new people - I moved to the area a couple of years ago. I saw information about Top Floor Learning, stopped by, and I was impressed by what I saw. I like the people, the friendliness, and the professionalism of the organization. It is a very welcoming place. Scrabble was an already established activity that I took over. I like to play Scrabble and my past experience in community organizations came in useful. When I lived in Vermont, I was an administrative assistant in a school district. I was also involved in sports programs, a women's club, and numerous committees in school. Many people who attend the Scrabble Tournaments want to play more often so I made a proposal for Game Night and presented it to the board for approval. They liked the idea, so we went ahead. We now play the second Monday of every month. It's a free activity - anyone in the community can come, and it's good PR for TFL. I'm very impressed with TFL. It's a wonderful organization and serves the community in so many ways. We need programs like this. We're lucky to have the facility and all the volunteers who make it happen."
