16th Annual May Basket Raffle!
This year, 37 bountiful baskets went on display in the Palmer Library foyer on May 2nd. After taxes and expenses, the net total for 2011 is $9,943. Proceeds benefit Adult Literacy programs, which include GED, Basic Reading/Writing, ESL and Citizenship, Financial Literacy and Bridge to College. Thanks go to Barbara Benedetti, event organizer for Top Floor Learning, TFL volunteers, Palmer Public Library trustees, director and staff for their support, and to all the basket donors who were so creative. See you at the same time and same place next year for the 17th Annual May Basket Raffle – it’s not too soon to start thinking about your basket!
